my only experiences have been with Mexico. i was born there but dont know too much about the history. last summer i visited some family thats lives in Cozumel, the island off of Cancun, and they took me all over the place. i visited Chichen Itza where the mayan pyramids are located. it was truly amazing how big these pyramids are and how intact they still are after so many years.heres a picture from my vacation. they used to allow you to climb them but not anymore.they want to keep them as preserved as possible which is understandable. i would of liked to go on it to take a closer look but i also believe we should try to keep this history alive. before i had just gone to visit family and had not really experienced my culture but after seeing the history in chichen itza, i learned a little more. i believe mexico has a lot of hidden history that i still need to learn. it is a country very culturally diverse in itself. in every place ive been to everyone is different from the way people talk to certain bahaviors make you think youre in a whole new country. i dont know very much about honduras or belize. i do have a coworker that is from guatemala and all i know is that they make great tamales wraped in banana leaves and awsome pupusas.
